    Licences, Certifications & Export Documents

Two things matter in this trade: that your counterparty holds the licences it claims, and that every document accompanying the cargo is genuine. SokoDolla Verification Standard.

Need to verify a supplier, licence or export document before you buy? Request supplier verification.

Licences & Documents We Verify on Suppliers

Applicable documents are checked with the issuing authority where verification is possible, rather than relying only on copies supplied by the seller. Which apply depends on the commodity, the country of origin and the structure of the transaction — we confirm the applicable set at the start of each engagement.

    Mining & Mineral Rights

    • Mining Operation Licence — confirmed with the issuing authority
    • Mineral Exploration or Prospecting Licence
    • Mining Cadastre record (Zambia Mining Cadastre Portal · DRC CAMI)
    • Authority to Sell, where the counterparty is not the licence holder
    • Mineral Rights Transfer or Offtake Agreement, where applicable

    Export & Trade

    • Mineral Export Licence and export permit
    • Trade and Customs Registration
    • Export Code and Trade Number, as required by the country of origin
    • Importer and Exporter Identification Numbers
    • Certificate of Origin (Form A), issued by the Chamber of Commerce
    • Certificate of Change of Ownership

    Product & Quality

    • Product-specific assay certification — SGS, Bureau Veritas, Alex Stewart, Intertek
    • Certificate of Quality and Quantity issued at the loading port
    • Non-radioactivity certificate
    • Office Congolais de Contrôle (OCC) quality specification, DR Congo
    • Packing list, container tally and weight certificate

    Responsible Sourcing

    • ICGLR Regional Certificate — coltan, tantalite, tin, tungsten and gold
    • Kimberley Process Certification, where diamonds form part of an enquiry
    • Mine-site traceability tags, seals and chain-of-custody records
    • Supply-chain documentation reviewed against OECD Due Diligence Guidance
    • Environmental Impact Approval, where held by the operation

    Corporate & Compliance

    • Certificate of Incorporation and registry record (PACRA · RCCM · BRELA)
    • Corporate Tax Compliance Certificate
    • Beneficial ownership and directorship records
    • Sanctions, adverse-media, litigation and politically-exposed-person screening
    • Bank account verification — corporate account in the registered company name

    Shipping & Insurance

    • Full set of clean-on-board negotiable Bills of Lading
    • Cargo manifest and booking confirmation
    • Marine insurance policy at 110% of invoice value
    • Signed commercial invoice matched against the contract
    • Warehouse receipt, holding certificate or allocation confirmation

Expired licences, borrowed licences and assay certificates attributed to laboratories that never issued them are the defects we find most often. Where a document cannot be confirmed with the issuing authority, we report that plainly and advise accordingly.
